1、 Testing and adjustment

1. Butterfly valves, whether manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric, undergo strict debugging before leaving the factory. When rechecking the sealing performance, users should fix both sides of the inlet and outlet evenly, close the disc valve, apply pressure to the inlet side, and observe for leakage on the outlet side. Before conducting strength tests on the pipeline, the disc plate should be opened to prevent damage to the sealing pair.

2. Although this product undergoes strict inspection and experimentation before leaving the factory, there are also some products that have automatic screw displacement during transportation and need to be readjusted, pneumatically, hydraulically, etc. Please refer to the user manual of the supporting drive device.

3. The electric drive butterfly valve has already adjusted the opening and closing stroke of the control mechanism when it leaves the factory. To prevent the power supply from being turned on in the wrong direction, the user should first turn on the manual switch to the half open position after turning on the power, and then press the electric switch to check that the direction of the indicator panel is consistent with the direction of the valve closing.

2、 Common faults and cleaning methods

1. Before installing the butterfly valve, confirm whether the performance of our factory's products and the flow direction arrow of the medium are consistent with the operating conditions, and clean the valve chamber. It is not allowed to have impurities or foreign objects attached to the sealing ring and butterfly plate. Before cleaning, it is allowed to close the butterfly plate to avoid damaging the sealing ring.

2. It is recommended to use a special flange for disc valves, namely HGJ54-91 socket welded steel flange, for the installation of disc plates.

3. The preferred position for installation in the pipeline is vertical installation, but it cannot be inverted.

4. During use, it is necessary to adjust the flow rate, which is controlled by a worm gear box.

5. For disc valves that have been opened and closed frequently, after about two months, open the worm gear box cover and check if the butter is normal. An appropriate amount of butter should be maintained.

6. Check that all connecting parts are required to be tightened to ensure the honeycomb nature of the packing and the flexibility of the valve stem rotation.

7. Metal sealed butterfly valve products are not suitable for installation at the end of the pipeline. If installed at the end of the pipeline, it is necessary to install an outlet flange to prevent the sealing ring from accumulating and exceeding its position.

8. The installation and use of the valve stem should be regularly checked for valve effectiveness, and any faults should be promptly resolved.

9. Timely cleaning methods for possible faults

Possible fault causes cleaning methods: Sealing surface leakage

1. Butterfly plate and sealing surface are sandwiched with debris

2. Misalignment of butterfly plate and sealing surface closure positions

3. Uneven force distribution or failure to meet the requirements of Figure 1 on the flange bolts installed on the outlet side

1. Clean impurities and clean the valve chamber

2. Adjust the adjustment screw of the worm gear or electric actuator to achieve the correct valve closing position

3. Check the flat surface of the assembly flange and tighten the bolts evenly

4. Apply pressure in the direction of the pointed seal

Leakage on both ends of the valve

1. Failure of sealing gaskets on both sides

2. Uneven or unfilled tightening force of pipe flange

3. The upper and lower sealing gaskets of the sealing ring have failed

Replace the sealing gasket

2. Tighten flange bolts (uniformly stressed)

3. Remove the pressure ring of the valve, replace the sealing ring, and replace the failed gasket
